Catch of the Day is a whimsical pattern that is designed to appear like a fish eating your foot! This cuff-down pattern has a continuous scale pattern across the body of the fish, an eye socket so you know where to sew on the eyes (as well as the option to omit button eyes), fins, and curled lips.
This pattern is written under the assumption that you understand the basics of a sock. Though instructions are written in the pattern, I am not writing why things are done. This pattern is recommended for advanced knitters or intermediate knitters who are willing to stretch their skills. Not recommended for beginners.
This pattern may be difficult, please approach it as such. Knit cuff down, heel flap heel, twisted rib decrease toe, knit separately, and attached fins.
Please Note: Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Sox Therapist would be a wonderful substitution if you do not want to work a heel flap!
